Our Story
"What do You Think?"
From the simple question, “What do you think about a vineyard?”, came what is now the story of Sweetheart Vineyards. Nestled in a beautiful creekside location in the small, thriving farming town of Arbuckle in Northern CA, Sweetheart Vineyards grows Tempranillo grapevines and produces wines that highlight and celebrate relationship. The partnership between the one that posed the question, Gary Henderson, and the one that answered back positively, Brooke Bachmann, brought together the perfect combination of what it takes to succeed in anything…hard work, willingness, determination, a lot of prayer, and a whole bunch of love. With a lifetime experience of farming from one, and a love of wine, the experience behind it, and a good project to run from the other, the two hit the ground running. What out of love was a plan to keep loved ones near, turned into deep roots that grounded passions together.

SV couldn't be more thrilled to receive our first GOLD medal for our 2022 "Surprise Me" Rosé of Tempranillo at the 2024 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, as well as other SILVER medals for our wines at the following events:
